NOTICE OF REGISTRATION AND ELECTION TO ALL FILIPINO CITIZENS 

 

Notice is hereby given that under the Republic Act No. 9189 as amended by Republic Act No. 10590, all citizens of the Philippines abroad, who are not otherwise disqualified by law, at least eighteen (18) years of age on May 13, 2019, and who are registered overseas voters, may vote for Senators, and Party-List Representatives.

 

All qualified Filipino citizens who are not registered overseas voters may file their applications for registration at the nearest embassy/consulate or other registration centers authorized by the Commission on Elections.

 

To register, all applicants must personally appear at the Embassy for biometrics capturing and bring the following requirements: 1) Photocopy of valid passport or if dual citizen, 2) copy of oath of allegiance or proof of Philippine citizenship from the Bureau of Immigration; or for seaman, 3) copy of seaman’s book.

 

Filing of application for registration shall be from December 1, 2016 to October 31, 2018.

 

The 30-day voting period will commence on April 13, 2019 until May 13, 2019 (Philippine time) at the Embassy. Time of voting to be announced later.

OVERSEAS VOTING REGISTRATION IN JORDAN, KICKS-OFF

 

07 May 2014 – The overseas voting registration in Jordan commenced yesterday, 06 May 2014, at the Philippine Embassy with a total of 27 new registrants.  The very first OFW to register is Ms. Myrna G. Juan, a household worker.  During the registration period from 06 May 2014 until 31 October 2015, the Embassy targets around 3000 new registered voters.  The Embassy will organize different activities and approaches in order to meet its target for this period.  Among these are putting up a registration booth at the Terra Sancta basketball court every Friday during the summer sports fest of the Filipino community in Amman.  The Embassy will also be open to the public everyday, including Friday and Saturday, to accommodate all qualified Filipinos who would like to register.  The Embassy will also be exerting all efforts to encourage Filipinos in Jordan to register through public campaigns during Filipino community events and through social media.
