JORDANIAN AUTHOR, MR. OMAR AL-ARMOUTHY, DONATES BOOKS FOR EMBASSY’S LIBRARY

Jordanian author Mr. Omar Al-Armouthy, together with his research team, met with Ambassador Junever M. Mahilum West on 09 February 2016 to discuss his next project to write a book on Philippine-Jordan bilateral relations and a general reference book about the Philippines, both in the Arabic language.    

Mr. Al-Armouthy is a well known-Jordanian author who has written a number of books on Jordan’s foreign relations such as with Indonesia and China.  He also wrote a four-volume encyclopedia about Jordan which he donated to the Embassy in 2014.

 

During the meeting he donated his books entitled “Memoir of Major General Hikmat Miyar”, “Story of Ambition:Senator Taghreed Hikmat”, “Al Hussein: A Nation in a Man”, “China with Jordanian Eyes” and “Sheik Mithqal Al Faiz”, for the Embassy’s library.

 

The Embassy is currently expanding its book collection in line with its plans to establish a Sentro Rizal branch in Jordan this year.
