Amman PE, together with POLO-OWWA Jordan, successfully held its Team Building Activity from 02 – 03 October 2015 (Friday-Saturday) at Dana Biosphere Reserve. A total of 21 participants from Amman PE and nine POLO-OWWA personnel participated in the event.
Dana Biosphere Reserve which is around 200kms south of Amman is the largest biosphere reserve in Jordan, covering 308 sq. kms. of one of the most diverse landscapes in Jordan. It is managed by the Royal Society for the Conservation of Nature (RSCN). It is also the first biosphere reserve in the Middle East.
Several team building activities were organized to meet the following objectives: 1) to foster stronger relations and trust within the organization 2) to improve team communication effectiveness; and 3) to identify organizational problems and come up with ways on how to deliver excellent services to the public.
There were also recreation, relaxation and social awareness activities such as the Bedouin storytelling, campfire and tea drinking activity, hiking trails and workshop visit that made the group more aware of Jordan’s natural resources, environmental conservation efforts, and ecotourism to sustain the livelihood of the harnessing local community
